You don't have to

In midlife it’s tempting to think that you should have it all figured out and be able to navigate life’s challenges by yourself.
Discovering that you feel a bit lost or stuck in your own life and out of ideas for fixing the situations that leave you feeling overwhelmed, anxious, resentful and joyless can be disconcerting.
Similarly, being stricken with guilt whenever you contemplate doing things differently can leave you feeling powerless.

Psychotherapy or simply, therapy, is a talking-based approach that helps you understand and move through these challenges.
Therapy, especially in midlife, can be a catalyst that gives you clarity and empowers you to make lasting change
to achieve the life you want and need.​
As an experienced clinical psychologist, I am skilled at creating a calming and empowering space for you to share your unique issues and find a path beyond them.
During our sessions we'll seek to understand the origins of the circumstances you find yourself in, especially the patterns that create or lead to difficulties. Then together, we'll find the right solutions for you so you can move forward and start living fully.
My work with you is completely bespoke.
Using my extensive training and experience I draw on a variety of evidence-based therapy models to create a deeper and broader formulation that informs the work we are going to do.
This sophisticated approach, which combines therapies that integrate well together and are attuned to the complexity of the human mind, often allows us to get to the heart of problems more quickly.
We’ll work at a pace that’s right for you and in a way that makes the process of facing difficult issues and emotions manageable.

My Therapeutic Approach
​I help you find what matters in midlife with my specialist, individualised program tailored to your specific needs and issues.
I primarily use a Schema Therapy approach, at times integrated with Cognitive Behavioural Therapies (CBT) including Compassion Focussed Therapy (CFT). These approaches help us to gain a greater understanding of where you are at, why you find yourself there and, most importantly, how you can move beyond the patterns that are holding you back from what matters most.
